Keeping Your Account Information Secure Online
We understand that keeping your personal information secure is important to you. We are committed to your privacy and maintaining the security and integrity of your account information and the information you provide to us.
Our security procedures and tools include:
- Information sent to and from the client account access Web site is protected through the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. This encryption technology prevents unauthorized users from viewing account information transmitted over the Internet.
- You'll use a user name and a confidential password when accessing your accounts online. The password is only known to you. We encourage you to change your password periodically.
- When you log in to client account access for the first time or if you have been issued a temporary password, you will be prompted to enter your PIN. This PIN is also only known to you.
- If your computer shows inactivity for more than 20 minutes, you are automatically logged out. We then require you to log in again using your confidential password.
- Firewalls and system monitoring tools are in place to limit user access to only appropriate systems and services.
- Internal access to client account access is limited to only authorized A.G. Edwards employees.
- Information technology security professionals routinely conduct system and procedural reviews. They also evaluate the latest security technologies and upgrade our systems when appropriate.
- We work closely with government and industry security organizations to address threats facing the Internet and the financial community.

To view pages on our Web site and access your account online, you must accept cookies. Our use of cookies does not involve collecting your personal information, so your privacy and security are not compromised when you accept these cookies from our Web site. We currently use cookies to:

E-Mail & Phishing Scams
To help you avoid becoming a victim of an e-mail scam (e.g., "phishing"), it is important for you to understand what e-mails you may receive from us and what information we will never ask from you in an e-mail.
If you are a client account access user, we will send you e-mails from time to time to inform you about new site features, provide you with important updates or conduct a satisfaction survey. If you receive one of these e-mails and decide that you no longer want to receive these messages, you can unsubscribe by simply following the instructions at the bottom of the e-mail.
A.G. Edwards or Wachovia will never e-mail you asking you to update or verify sensitive information, including your account numbers, PINs, user names, passwords or Social Security number.
