When you first join A.G. Edwards, you'll enter our 36-week, nationally recognized new Financial Advisor training program that's designed to help you:• Successfully pass your Series 7 exam (nine weeks)
• Learn about our full range of products and services (two weeks)
• Earn your Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation (three weeks)
• Develop strategies for marketing yourself and your business (six weeks)
• Grow your business during our apprentice period (twelve weeks)
Supporting You While You Build Your Business
After your first 36 weeks, we maintain our commitment by continuing to support you even as you begin to build your business. Because we want you to succeed in your new career, we'll give you:• A coach who will work with you one-on-one
• An alumni support group that offers conference calls and promptly responds to your questions
• Follow-up training in live Web classrooms, which gives you a chance to exchange ideas with other Financial Advisors
• Up-to-date information on products and services and what's going on in the industry
• A formal follow-up training session in St. Louis at the end of your first year (if you qualify)
